Bongo Tyobeka (since August 2021)
If I could choose my first name I would like to be called ‘Ongo’. I was born in the Eastern Cape where I completed my matric. I enjoyed my first job, working for a social development organisation. I would like to work in human resources; I want to help others to find jobs.
My favourite part of being a Bicycle Patrol Officer is catching people doing things that are wrong.
I am not married but I have a son, Avenathi; he is 2 years old. (March 2022)
Mongameli Dingiswayo (since September 2024)
I prefer being called by my surname Dingiswayo. I was born on 22 December 1996 in Mount Fletcher, Eastern Cape. I grew up in site-B in Khayelitsha.
I started work at V&A Waterfront at Hamleys toy store in 2016 until Covid19 era.
My goal for next year is to have code14 driver’s license, so that I can apply to be a truck driver so that I can earn plus minus 30k a month. I’m proud responsible only bread winner at home. I’m not married; I don’t have any child.
I like to exercise to keep my body in shape all the time and I’m a rugby player. I’m a lovely person, I like to keep smiles on other people’s faces around me. (November ’24)
Siphamandla Hota (since April 2026)
I was born and raised in the Eastern Cape, and married traditionally. I have 2 boys: 1 is 10 years old, the youngest is 2 months old. I prefer being called by my surname Hota as my name is complicated to pronounce for some individuals. Ii have worked as a tuzder [logic puzzle games] teacher at Enderun College schools as I studied there too. I have worked as waiter at Ottoman restaurant and as salesman at Home Decor etc. I like my job as security bicycle patrol because firstly I like protecting my people and catching individuals who does wrong, secondly I like riding and like having my time to read and discover new things. Tribute to Officer Lindikhaya Madlebe
Mr Lindikhaya Madlebe joined our Village patrol in February 2007 and passed away after contracting COVID-19, leaving behind a wife and two young-adult children. We will remember him as a dedicated family man and a committed team member who always gave his best effort in his duties. May he rest in peace.
