  • Environmental Crimes Hotline (the Green Scorpions): 0800 205 005
  • Stompie Hotline: 021 480 7715 to report a burning cigarette butt thrown from a car; provide registration, make and colour of vehicle; date, time and location.
  • Wilderness Search & Rescue: 021 937 0300.
  • Alternatively, dial 112 free from a cellphone, even if you don’t have airtime, and you will be linked to your cellular network provider’s emergency call centre.

  • The most efficient way to log service delivery requests is via the app or on the website.
  • Email: contactus@capetown.gov.za to report all service faults; power@capetown.gov.za for electricity service faults; water@capetown.gov.za to report water and sewer service faults
  • Call Centre: 0860 103 089 for all service requests or complaints and for all enquiries. Have your rates account number on hand and insist on a reference number for your request/complaint.
  • SMS your name, address, erf/account #, and fault details in 160 characters maximum to 31220 (electricity) or 31373 (water and sewer) service faults.
